Hey everybody. Please attend our speaker series featuring prominent Philadelphians in our thriving sustainable agriculture and local food movements. They will be fun and informative for those already involved in urban agriculture and those who are looking to get more involved and connected to others in the movement.
We hope to see you there and ff you have any questions please contact Farm Manager Adam Hill at

If not… be sure to come out next Saturday from 10a-2pm to pick up our beautiful local, organic produce… Here’s a little gift basket I took over to our Brewerytown CDC this week and raffled off to one of my neighbors! (eggplant, okra, collards, bell peppers, long hot peppers)
Next Saturday we’ll give you the next installment of our SUMMER SESSIONS FARM PARTY!
And we’ll be doing a bit of fund-raising for the farm as we sell handmade crafts from our young farmer/artists!
Come out and BRING A DISH to share with your neighbors, enjoy the live performances from Text Rich, DJ Duiji 13, Sekhemet Ra, Te’ Smith and others…
Along with massage from local practitioners and special guests from the Brewerytown/Sharswood Tree Tenders and Neighborhood Bike Works, we’ll be giving tours of the farm and have great activities on hand for families!

As a gardener, I notice the care that I give my plants is reflected in their growth and vitality.
As a mother, I give my children the various forms of tending to that develops them as intelligent and sensitive individuals.
As a community and cultural worker,
I am compelled towards kind words that uplift a sense of perfection in how and who we are right now..
tempered with a knowledge that where we want to be (the people that we want to be) is possible.
In our everyday interactions with one another we can share the best things that we know about ourselves and others.
Trusting that the love we give, the compassion that we share will be returned, we can truly be as trusting, friendly and helpful as we like..
It will come back to us!
We learn and grow alongside our peers. We relate to and define who we are in relation to those peers as well as our elders and children.
Please treat them with care..
Give them love in your words and actions.
This takes power away from their fears and doubts and gives light to their potential.
We all need light, water, air, nutrients and love to grow!
I love this farm.
The growth and green-ness.
It reminds me of the people around me.
Doing their best in their given environments to develop into sweet fruits and strong seeds.
The generations of plants that flourish here,
The multiple harvests..
They and all the children born here..
I hope that the adults see themselves in these plants
Like the children are learning to.
What is the voice?
And the branches reaching up to the sky our arms..
Giving thanks for the day
I am green, new, nu..
